If you want to think like a chef, you must learned from the pros. Watch Cheoff Geoff recreate Uncle Matt’s famous beer battered fish & chips recipe, you will also learn the secret to restaurant-style twice-fried French fries (OK chips), and learn how to make a fresh red cabbage slaw for garnish.
I’ve worked at my pubs over the years, and have prepared fish & chips many ways, but it’s best to learn from the source. That’s why I’ve teamed up with Uncle Matt’s Cookery Lessons to recreate his classic British fish & chips recipe: here’s the original link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6QbkGymjfk&t=547s. In turn, Chef Matt is recreating my Queso Fresco Three Ways video, here’s the link for my original recipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzVK44lCp3A&t=320s

It was an honour being a part of this collaboration. I’ve learned a few new tricks to perfect classic British fish n chips at home. If you want to learn how to cook the perfect French fry, this is the video for you. I’ve wrapped the fish in an old school fish paper cone and garnished the plate with a red cabbage slaw recipe. This really brings the pub experience home. Bon Appetit!
